At Harbor Family Dental, we want our patients to get the most from their dental insurance plans. Here are tips: 1. Visit Harbor Family Dental Twice Per Year: Almost all plans cover two teeth cleanings, oral exams, and x-rays per year. Kids can usually get fluoride treatments and sealants at no extra cost. 2. Know The 100-80-50 Fee Structure: Most policies cover 100% of preventive care, 80% of basic care (root canals, fillings), and 50% of major care (crowns, bridges, dentures). Early treatment saves money! 3. Understand Your Yearly Deductible And Annual Maximum Benefit: Deductibles are usually $25-$250. Annual maximum benefit is usually $1,000-$2,000 - the max your insurer will pay per year. 4. Choose An In-Network Dentist: Most dental insurance uses a PPO model. Harbor Family Dental accepts almost all PPO plans including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Anthem, Delta Dental, Cigna, Aetna and more. 5. Get Care With Our In-Office Savings Plan If You're Not Insured: For $300 per year, get comprehensive exam, annual periodic exam, emergency exam, 2 cleanings, 2 oral cancer screenings, 2 fluoride treatments, any necessary x-rays, and 25% discount on all other treatments.
